The Signature Headshot session bridges the gap between a traditional headshot and a personal branding session, delivering images perfect for corporate directories, marketing materials, social media profiles, and more. Background Color Swap

Background color swaps are included upon request with our Signature Headshot Sessions. We understand that sometimes you need the Express service, but the Signature Gray background doesn't fit your brand. No problem, we can change it!
Background Removal

If your project requires a transparent background, we can extract your headshots for you. No helmet-head, and no looking like a paper doll. These extractions will be carefully executed to preserve the natural look of your hair, clothing, and accessories.
Premium Retouching
$50
While we truly feel the best headshots are lightly retouched so you look like you both in your photos and in person, we appreciate needing a little more. Premium retouching includes all standard retouching options plus deep facial wrinkle and line reduction, facial contouring, double chin reduction, body shaping or slimming (ie, slim arms, trim waist), de-wrinkle clothing (some limitations apply), whiten teeth. This service may be applied for any other extensive editing requested. Please note that we strive to provide ethically accurate professional headshots, and while we are happy to provide this premium retouching service, we reserve the right to politely decline to dramatically transform a person's likeness.
Helpful Tips, Frequently Asked Questions, and Things To Know Before And After Booking
What makes the Signature Headshot different from a Custom Session?
Custom sessions are truly white glove service. You have a guide (me!) every step of the way with help choosing your wardrobe, designing art for your home or the full vision of your branding session, hair and makeup artistry, extended session time, and on location options. Multiple genres, people, and backdrops can be included. Flexible scheduling based on your availability.
In contrast, Headshot Sessions are designed for the individual client that needs a smaller selection of portraits. Because multiple sessions can be completed in a single day, price advantages are passed on to you. The trade off is that your portraits will be created in studio with a limited selection of backgrounds. Headshot Sessions only take place during specific scheduling windows, whereas Custom Sessions are scheduled to accommodate you.
Signature Headshots aren't your typical mini session though! These are 45 minutes to an hour long, including multiple wardrobe changes (I recommend 3 outfits), and you choose your final images before you leave. These limited sessions are perfect for business and social media profile images, marketing material refresh, dating profile photos and more!
Can I do a specific genre such as newborn or children in a Signature Headshot Session?
Headshot Sessions are not suitable for newborn, pets, couples, or groups.
In some circumstances, Signature Headshot Sessions can be a great option for a SINGLE child with a specific objective. For example, a classically styled portrait, or for child model or child actor headshots. Please note that to be respectful of all scheduled clients on a Signature Headshot date, we will not be able to extend your session time in the event your child gets a case of the scaries or simply takes a long time to warm up to the process. In fact, it's best to call the studio for a consultation before booking a headshot session for a child. This ensures you and your child have a successful session that meets your desired outcomes. Express Headshot sessions are not suitable for children.
The studio reserves the right to decline your session without refund if you arrive for a Headshot session with pets, groups, couples, babies, children, or any other individual(s) that we have not consulted to work with prior to booking your session.
Can I bring other people or my pets to my headshot session?
Headshot Sessions accommodate a single individual in each spot. You are welcome to book multiple spots if you have additional people that need headshots. Each spot will focus on the individual only. If you need portraits or headshots that include multiple people, then a Custom Session is right for you.
We love all pets, however, the back-to-back scheduling nature of Headshot Sessions means we do not have the ability to ensure traces of your pet are removed before the next client arrives. For this reason, we are unable to accommodate pets at Headshot Sessions.
Your pet would be welcome at your Custom Session. Give us a call to talk about your vision!
Respectfully, the studio reserves the right to decline your session without refund if you arrive for a Headshot session with pets, groups, couples, babies, children, or any other individual(s) for which we have not consulted and/or agreed to work with prior to booking your session. If you have any questions about whether the Headshot Session options are right for your needs, our phone is always available! Give us a call before booking for any scenario other than a single, adult individual.
When will I get to see and choose my images?
This is one of the perks of our Headshot Sessions! Your appointment includes time to review and choose your favorite images!
There's even a day-of-event special price on additional portraits. Your Signature Headshot Session includes 2 portraits, but if you fall in love with more than 2, no problem! Express Headshots include 1 portrait. Additional portraits are only $190 (regular price $250), AND if you buy 2 you get 1 free! Who doesn't love getting more for FREE? This special price only applies when ordered during your Headshot Session.
What should I wear for my Headshot Session? Can I do a styling consultation?
In Home Style Consultations are part of the services offered with Custom Sessions. When you book a Headshot session, you will receive a style guide digitally. In addition, if you have booked a Signature Headshot Session online, I'll give you a call within 1-2 business days of your booking to help you prepare.
For Signature Headshots, remember to put together 3-5 outfits, and consider varying the looks from professional to social casual, or dating casual, as appropriate to how you plan to use your headshots. These sessions have room for creativity, and hands and feet often come into the frame. Tend to your nails, manicure and pedicure, and choose shoes accordingly. Plan your outfits head to toe, including appropriate undergarments, pants (yes, you need something other than sweats, pajama pants, or shorts!), socks, shoes, jewelry, watches, pocket squares, etc.
While Express Headshots are only going to include from the waist up, please arrive in a complete outfit, head to toe, so that we don't have any surprises.
Ladies, in general, 3/4 or long sleeves flatter the arms best. Stick to solid colors and avoid patterns so that the attention stays on your face. Textures like lace and ruching add visual interest without being distracting. Don't forget to bring coordinating bottoms and accessories that compliment your outfit!
Guys, jackets, ties, henley's, and structured T's are all great. Plan your outfits from head to toe, including pants, shoes, socks, and accessories like watches, pocket squares, and cuff links.
Can I get hair and makeup services with my Headshot Session?
I am happy to refer you to our preferred Hair and Makeup Artist partners if you would like hair and makeup services for your Headshot session. Fees for this service vary and will be payable directly to your stylist.
All Headshot Session images are treated to our standard retouching services, so you can be confident you'll look your polished best! If you need a bit more, Premium Retouching services can be added at the time of your image selection and order.
When will my images be delivered?
Typical turn around for your full selection of images is 5 business days following your Signature Headshot Session. Express Headshots are delivered within 24-48 hours. However, if you need an image faster to meet a deadline, let me know during the ordering portion of your session. Rush processing fees may apply.
Images will be delivered digitally via an online Gallery. Physical media (prints or USB drives) are not included with Headshot sessions. However, if you would like physical media such as prints, upgrades are available.
Can I host a Headshot Session at my office or a location I choose?
Let's talk! Depending on your needs and vision, this may be a great solution for some businesses and teams. We cater to teams and even large corporate groups. We can bring value to your event such as a conference or expo by providing on-site headshot services. Small businesses and teams who need the convenience of an on-location photographer have a variety of options that we'll tailor to fit your brand, vision, and overall goals. The short answer is mostly yes! We love creating amazing headshots and personality-filled images for brands, businesses, and individuals to boost their online impact and in their marketing materials. I have a team that needs headshots and a group portrait, and we'd like to do it at our office. Can you do this?
We sure can! We're happy to create a Team Headshot day that perfectly fits your needs and brand vision. Team headshots can be photographed in our studio or at your office location.
We don't even have to get everyone together at the same time to create a group portrait! While we can absolutely go this traditional route, our composite team photos are great for more fluid teams. When team members come and go, there's no need to go through the headache of bringing the whole team together. We can handle the logistics of scheduling new hires through our studio, and update your team's group photo as needed.

Can I share my headshot session with someone else?
Each session appointment is designed for a single person. For business partners who need images together, you'll book two back to back signature Headshot Sessions. We'll adjust the flow of the two sessions to ensure separately and together you have a great variety of images. We'll then complete the image selection process for both sessions at the end of the combined timeslot.
